The QALWJOBITP system value currently allows three values which define the following system conditions
a) Whether jobs are allowed to be interruptible at all.
b) Whether jobs by default are interruptible or uninterruptible.
Given the condition that jobs are a) allowed to be interruptible, and b) by default are uninterruptible, only interactive jobs can be made interruptible, as this change requires manual intervention from within the job in the form of running the Change Job Interrupt Status (QWCCJITP) API.
For the purpose of protecting interactive jobs against being interruptible by default and thus requiring the job user's active intervention to make the job interruptible and yet having the opportunity by default to interrupt batch types of jobs who cannot be made interruptible on request, I suggest implementing a fourth QALWJOBITP system value '3' which by default would make interactive jobs uninterruptible and by default all other job types interruptible.
