All User Designed Plugins for Navigator for i Dashboard

The Navigator for i Dashboard comes with six pre-defined monitors.
CPU Utilization, Page Faults, Disk Utilization, Disk Pool Usage, Jobs & Operator Messages.

I would like to allow ISV's / End Users to create their own monitors to in this view.

It would but up to the developer of this new monitor to create an appropriate method of monitoring and extracting the Key Data to be displayed on this monitor.

I am requesting that IBM just create a framework whereby users can create their own monitors and feed it with data.


Use Case:

A user has a key business process that runs as a web service on IBM i, this Monitor could show service performance and health metrics.

    This requirement has been delivered as part of the new IBM Navigator for i GUI interface. Details on how to access and use this new interface can be found at: https://www.ibm.com/support/pages/node/6483299

    The support has been delivered on IBM i 7.3 & 7.4 and can be obtained by loading and installing the Latest HTTP PTF Group

    IBM i 7.3 - Group PTF SF99722 level 32 or higher
    IBM i 7.4 - Group PTF SF99662 level 13 or higher

    The COMMON Europe Advisory Council (CEAC) has reviewed this requirement and recommends that IBM view this as a medium priority requirement that should be addressed.

    Background: The CEAC members have a broad range of experience in working with small and medium-sized IBM i customers. CEAC has a crucial role in working with IBM i development to help assess the value and impact of individual RFEs on the broader IBM i community and has therefore reviewed your RFE.

    This is a great idea, one of the examples I can think of is a way to monitor the JVM's used by their application.
