This is already available. I use it all the time.
Under Edit, Preferences, Keyboard...
Select the Category "Host Functions"
Scroll down to and select 'Field Minus' under the Host Functions
Click 'Assign a Key'
The emulator asks you to press a key, so press the minus key.
Save your changes and you're done.
