Prevent GO PTF option 8 from unintentionally IPL'ing the system when ptf's

I would like the ability, for setting a system value (WRKSYSVAL), to change the default parameter on menu PTF option 8,” Install program temporary fix package” from "Y' to “N”. Many times, I just wish to install a cume or group ptf during the week and will IPL the system over the weekend to apply them. To do this you use option 8 from the PTF menu. If I am not careful to change “Automatic IPL” from "Y" to "N" it will end the production system, that is, it will bring your system to a restrictive state, applying the PTFS and IPLing in the middle of the day costing your company time and money waiting for system to come and the DB to rebuild. I know some colleagues over the years that this has happened to.

To prevent someone from unintentionally performing an IPL on your system when using the GO PTF option 7 or option 8, use the Change Service Attributes (CHGSRVA) command. Specify *DLYALL for the PTFINSTYPE parameter to override the Automatic IPL field and the Apply type field on the GO PTF option 7 and option 8.
    CHGSRVA PTFINSTYP(*DLYALL)

This is not a System Value, but it is the function requested. The CHGSRVA command is shipped with authority public *EXCLUDE so users must be QSYS or QSRVAGT to be able to use it.

I looked in CHGSRVA and I do not see an option for what the original author was requesting. It looks like the help documentation is wrong.

If you view the help on this screen it says

To change the default value, use the Change Service Attributes

(CHGSRVA) command and specify a new value on the PTF install type

    (PTFINSTYP) parameter.
