ACS Double-byte character (DBCS) data transfer Shift character is cut at upload

When uploading a double-byte character, if the number of field characters is over, the shift-out character will be cut.
This request is to change ACS so that it has the same upload functionality as IBM iAccess for Windows.
IBM iAccess for Windows data transfer upload is supplemented with shift characters.

Use Case:

To enable character fields to be truncated from the end, set the following property in the AcsConfig.properties file:
com.ibm.iaccess.dataxfer.jdbc.AllowCharacterTruncation=true

In the case of double-byte characters, it will not be displayed properly if the shift-out character is cut.
Supplement of shift character is necessary.

    Version 1.1.8.2 met the requirement.

    As of version 1.1.8.2 released May 2019, setting the property:
    com.ibm.iaccess.dataxfer.jdbc.AllowCharacterTruncation=true
    ...should preserve the shift characters during an upload.

    Please retry your scenario with version 1.1.8.2 or later. Let us know if this meets the requirement.

    The CAAC has reviewed this requirement and recommends that IBM view this as a high priority requirement that is important to be addressed. IBM i should support all languages everywhere the same, especially in ACS.

    Background: The COMMON Americas Advisory Council (CAAC) members have a broad range of experience in working with small and medium-sized IBM i customers. CAAC has a key role in working with IBM i development to help assess the value and impact of individual RFEs on the broader IBM i community, and has therefore reviewed your RFE.

    For more information about CAAC, see www.common.org/caac

    IBM has received this requirement and is evaluating it. A response will be provided when evaluation is complete.
