Go Save option 21 Entire System Save Improvements

Go Save Option 21 "Entire System Save" would be improved if the following parameters where added:

1) Scheduled Start Date (as well as time)
This would allow a user to schedule a system save more than 24 hours ahead of the time they enter the request.

2) Final End Option for Tape (*unload, *rewind *Leave)
Very useful if you plan to move a tape drive between LPARs and the carry out a test restore.

3) Async Bring (*YES / *No)
Could reduce time taken to complete save

4) Program to call before Save
Could be used to cleanly close down client environment

Limited workaround for some of the options can be achieved by running the Save option with Prompt for Command set to "Y"

    IBM believes that the first item that was requested has been solved and is available with IBM i 7.3.

    Please open a separate RFE for each of the three remaining items that were requested.

    The COMMON Europe Advisory Council (CEAC) has reviewed this requirement and recommends that IBM view this as a “nice to have” low priority feature.

    Background: The CEAC members have a broad range of experience in working with small and medium-sized IBM i customers. CEAC has a crucial role in working with IBM i development to help assess the value and impact of individual RFEs on the broader IBM i community and has therefore reviewed your RFE.
