Journal entry data to return binary timestamps

In the entry specific data returned by QjoRetrieveJournalEntries it would be useful to have the time/date/timestamp data to be returned in a binary format. For example, either a documented internal database format or the same time format used for the journal entry timestamp.

Use Case:

For applications that process most if not all of the journal entries for any form of replication, having the time in a binary form may provide, depending on the specific application a decrease in production system resource utilization by not converting all the time values to strings.

This would be preferred in i7.1 and higher.

IBM does not intend to provide a solution to this request at this time, so it is being closed.

Extending the entry specific data for all journal entries would be a huge effort. Also note that converting timestamps is not an expensive operation, so the processing time saved by having an alternate format would be very minimal. For these two reasons, this request will not be implemented.
