Cluster Administrative Domain (CAD) Needs to Support IBMi QSYSUPWD API

(I am submitting this RFE on behalf of customer who submitted a suggestion via Medallia Offering Manager survey. ) I rated Power HA for i compatibility with other products a 5 because of the known incompatibility between Cluster Adminstrative Domain (CAD) monitored user profiles and the IBM i QSYSUPWD API which our application requires.


Use Case:

Customer uses Power HA at a healthcare facility and moved from journal based replication with internal DASD to Power HA using LUN level switching and Hyperswap with iASPs on Storwize. We're now at a point where we can perform a switchover in a matter of minutes. We have multiple LPARs that we routinely swap between two S814s to do OS updates with near zero downtime.

    The product development team agrees with the request and a solution appears to be desirable and feasible. The development team intends to provide a solution for this request. In addition, we plan to bring the solution back to all currently supported releases once a solution is available. However, the development team's plans may change and no commitment is made that a solution will be provided.
