Distingusihing between Members open for edit and for browse in LPEX editor

When multiple members are opened in the LPEX editor pane, some in edit mode, some in browse mode, you cannot tell at a glance which is which. You have to click on the tab and look for the BROWSE term in the edit area. The request is to have something visual in the tab area to differentiate between edit and browse modes. Perhaps use binoculars or set of glasses for browse mode instead of the pencil.

Use Case:

Example not deemed necessary; the description example should be adequate?
