Update PASE equivalent AIX TL level

PASE in IBM i7.2 is based on AIX 7.1 TL1 and PASE in IBM i7.3 is based on AIX 7.1 TL3 neither of which are supported releases of AIX anymore. It would be very helpful to have PASE updated to a current TL (Technology Level) equivalency at least as far as the runtime and associated API support.

For example the symbol __setjmp is not defined in the IBM i7.2 PASE runtime.


Use Case:

It is required that certain libraries be built on AIX due to the inability to install associated software in PASE that would allow compilation of the libraries that would then be usable in PASE.

    The COMMON Europe Advisory Council (CEAC) has reviewed this requirement and recommends that IBM view this as a medium priority requirement that should be addressed.

    Background: The CEAC members have a broad range of experience in working with small and medium-sized IBM i customers. CEAC has a crucial role in working with IBM i development to help assess the value and impact of individual RFEs on the broader IBM i community and has therefore reviewed your RFE.

    Agree! This is an area that should be kept up to date with a technology refresh. Customers rely on this sometimes as much as IBM i itself, and they deserve the same amount of attention as IBM i does.
