Boolean data type for use within SQL Procedural Language

You can use a new system-defined Boolean data type for use within SQL Procedural Language (SQL PL) applications that provides support for declaring and referencing the system-defined logical values: TRUE, FALSE, or NULL within compound SQL (compiled) statements.
The Boolean data type is like any other built-in type, such that it can also be referenced in expressions and assigned the resulting value of a logical expression.

Currently this feature is available in DB2 Version 9.7 for Linux, UNIX, and Windows, however it does not seem to be available in IBM i DB2 Version 7.3.
Does IBM have any plans to make this feature available for IBM i DB2?

Use Case:

The new feature would standardize the use of Boolean data type across all DB2 platforms.

IBM believes that the request described has been solved and is available with IBM i 7.5.

The Boolean data type has been added to SQL, including support in SQL PL.
