IBM believes that the request described has been solved and is available with the June 2020 BRMS PTFs (7.2 - SI72865, 7.3 - SI72866, and 7.4 - SI72867). The COMMON Europe Advisory Council (CEAC) has reviewed this requirement and recommends that IBM view this as a HIGH priority requirement that is important to address.
The functionality became available with 7.3 only in the operating system and BRMS green-screen commands. Since most users use the GUI function to perform backups to have the functionality added to here would be essential.
Background: The CEAC members have a broad range of experience in working with small and medium-sized IBM i customers. CEAC has a crucial role in working with IBM i development to help assess the value and impact of individual RFEs on the broader IBM i community and has therefore reviewed your RFE.

The CAAC has reviewed this requirement and recommends that IBM view this as a high priority requirement that is important to be addressed. Any glitches for back-up are best fixed for the good of the platform, especially when many large companies use BRMS.
