Add Open Source Package Management to Main ACS Interface

Add option to launch Open Source Package Management from the main ACS (Griffin) Interface.


Use Case:

Improved usability, make the interface more consistent, as other system management functions are on this main ACS (Griffin) Interface.

    The CAAC has reviewed this requirement and recommends that IBM view this as a medium priority requirement that should be addressed. Making the option more easily visible is certainly a good idea. This would make it better known to users of ACS.

    Background: The COMMON Americas Advisory Council (CAAC) members have a broad range of experience in working with small and medium-sized IBM i customers. CAAC has a key role in working with IBM i development to help assess the value and impact of individual RFEs on the broader IBM i community, and has therefore reviewed your RFE.

    The COMMON Europe Advisory Council (CEAC) has reviewed this requirement and recommends that IBM view this as a MEDIUM priority requirement that should be addressed.

    Background: The CEAC members have a broad range of experience in working with small and medium-sized IBM i customers. CEAC has a crucial role in working with IBM i development to help assess the value and impact of individual RFEs on the broader IBM i community and has therefore reviewed your RFE.
