During upgrade from 7.2 to 7.3 we got serious performance degradation for some SQL queries. Trying to improve performance we request and remove some file statistics on the source (production) system. It help for some issues. Unfortunately on the target (Mimix-backup) system only requested statistics appeared but removed statistics still exist. Because Mimix read F-CB (Physical file member changed) journal entries when statistics requested and there are no such entries when statistics removed. In this situation we have different file statistics on two partitions that could be a reason for SQL performance degradation after switching to backup partition.
So, it will be nice if journal entry will be generated when statistics removed from the file.
Such journal entry could be used by Mimix to have the same file statistics on both replication sides.

IBM does not intend to provide a solution to this request at this time, so it is being closed. The cost to add a new journal entry for this situation is not considered to be worth the possible benefit.
Investing in a new journal entry AND the associated decision by the HA vendors to support the new journal entry are expensive decisions. Since this request is for a situation that is not common, we believe that the HA vendors would not invest in implementing the support. Therefore, we do not plan to implement this suggestion.
The DBE will need to take care when deciding not only whether and when to remove statistics, but also whether secondary locations require the same action.
