Shape the future of IBM!

We invite you to shape the future of IBM, including product roadmaps, by submitting ideas that matter to you the most. Here's how it works:

Search existing ideas

Start by searching and reviewing ideas and requests to enhance a product or service. Take a look at ideas others have posted, and add a comment, vote, or subscribe to updates on them if they matter to you. If you can't find what you are looking for,

Post your ideas
  1. Post an idea.

  2. Get feedback from the IBM team and other customers to refine your idea.

  3. Follow the idea through the IBM Ideas process.

Rename Filter via "Properties" panel

Minor inconsistency/annoyance: In RSE, a Filter's name cannot be changed via its "Properties" display, even though changing a name is a legal action, and product Help says this is possible.

Use Case:

1. In RSE, right-click on a defined Filter, and select "Rename..." A dialog box appears via which you can change the Filter's name.
2. Change the Filter's name and press "OK". RSE displays the new Filter name.
3. Right-click on the same Filter and select "Properties". The "Filter Information" is displayed, showing the Filter's name ("Name:").
4. Click the "?" button to obtain help for this panel. Help says, "This dialog allows you to view or change the properties of the selected resource."

But there is no (obvious?) capability to change the Filter's name via this panel.

We have reviewed this requirement and we feel it would be a beneficial enhancement to the product. We hope to be able to add it to our development plans in the future.
