Can't change journal for a view

Once a view is created there is no way to change the journal that it is attached to.

Command Error rcvd
ENDJRNPF -> not a physical.
ENDJRNAP -> not an access path
ENDJRNOBJ -> not a dataqueue or dataarea.

Please allow one of these commands for views.

Use Case:

For recovery & when using save-while-active, the attached journal drives application behavior. Need to be able to move objects in a schema to a different journal to isolate them from backup failures due to unrelated open transactions. Allow changing the journal for views.

    IBM does not intend to provide a solution to this request at this time, so it is being closed.

    The view must be associated with the same journal as one of its underlying physical files. This is part of the journal architecture and is necessary in order for functions such as APYJRNCHG to work.

    There's no data, but there is metadtata. Try creating a view in a schema (or a library that has a qdftjrn dtaara).. you can see the journal attached via DSPOBJD.

    A view doesn't have an access path, hence it can't be journaled… so I don't understand your question.
