ACS run SQL scripts: Export to Excel, CSV, JSON, HTML etc.

Now we got the context menu for result sets in ACS - Run SQL scripts. So now I have a new request:

It will be nice if it was possible to directly export the result set show in in the grid to common used formats like Excel ( Open XML) , CSV, plain XML, JSON and XHTML to name a few.

(Maybe even be able to save it as an export description for later use - would be great)

The idea is to add a "Export" option in the context menu in the resultset. Then select to which format and finally prompt the user for the destination of the stream file to produce. (IFS or PC location)


Use Case:

To day you have to produce an export description in a different menu option, where it would me more logical to just right-click on the result grid in ACS - Run SQL script, and simply select export and the desired format.

Look at the attached image for an my suggestion of the use case.

    As mentioned in the Discussion section, this support is already available via Save Results. The reason this option is not enabled by default is for better performance. If the data being returned will be exported to a type of spreadsheet, additional processing is required so the data can be exported to specific cells within the spreadsheet. Otherwise each row of data would be exported to a single cell. Marking this RFE as Delivered. We currently have no plans to provide support for exporting to additional types.

    You can use the option "Save Results" to export the results as excel, CSV , Text and a few others formats already. So this request would be to add new formats like JSON, HTML and so on I guess

    I can see at the attached screen shot you provided that the "Save Results" is greyed out. You have to enable this before you can use( I can not understand why this is not by default not enabled)

    From the SQL prompt > "Option" > "Enable Save Results" and set it to "Always"
