The CAAC has reviewed this requirement and recommends that IBM view this as a medium priority requirement that should be addressed. For consistency across the product line, this would be a good enhancement.

Background: The COMMON Americas Advisory Council (CAAC) members have a broad range of experience in working with small and medium-sized IBM i customers. CAAC has a key role in working with IBM i development to help assess the value and impact of individual RFEs on the broader IBM i community, and has therefore reviewed your RFE.

For more information about CAAC, see www.common.org/caac

For more details about CAAC's role with RFEs, see http://www.ibmsystemsmag.com/Blogs/i-Can/May-2017/COMMON-Americas-Advisory-Council-%28CAAC%29-and-RFEs/

IBM has modified some of the information in this request. Please contact us if you have any questions.

Specifically, we want to thank you for submitting this RFE. Now that it is being assessed by IBM, we see that you are asking for 3 separate items which are not related, and have the potential to be implemented at different times. Therefore, your RFE is being modified so that it is just the first item -- please open separate RFEs if you would still like the other two items to be considered. Additional clarification will be needed for your item (3) since it is not clear what exactly you're requesting.

Note that the web based version of IBM Navigator for i is the replacement for System i Navigator that was in IBM i Access for Windows. The functions requested are therefore not actually missing. Requested features for ACS are in the IBM i Access family RFE category. IBM Navigator for i features should be in the Systems Management RFE category.

The specific modifications to your RFE follow:

    Previous Headline:
Missing functions in iAccess Client Solutions (ACS)

    New Headline:
Allow reply to messages in print output in ACS

    Previous Description:
The IBM iAccess Client Solution lacks the following 3 functions: 1. You cannot reply to any messages in the print output. In the old version you could use the item "reply". This can only be done in the iNavigator 2. The possibility to see printers in an overview and to answer messages there is completely missing. Only available in iNavigator. 3. Subwindows in the iNavigator cannot be displayed in its entireia. You have to work circuitous with the scroll bar in order to get to the "O.K". or "Abort" button, for example. Only 2 or 3 lines are visible.

    New Description:
For ACS please add the capability of replying to any messages in the print output. In IBM i Access for Windows, you could use the item "reply". Currently, this can be done only in IBM Navigator for i.

    Previous Use Case:
    Create a wish list

    New Use Case:
Item from a personal wish list

Again, do let us know if there are comments or questions about these modifications.
