Db2 Web Query V2.2.1 currently allows you to specify Excel as Output type for a report or for a document. In the case of a document, you can create multiple reports inside the document. When run, the document generates tabs for each report. So far, so good.
The WQ options for Excel output type lack the ability to specify that the header area be frozen to allow heading rows to be visible when data area is scrolled. Please enable Freeze Heading in WQ to generate Excel sheets with scrolling data under fixed headings.
Excel has the ability to specify a report area as a TABLE, which adds sort/filter arrows to each column. Please enable a the Table option in WQ for Excel output to provide the Excel Table feature on delivery of the generated sheets within a Workbook.
Client wishes to create a Web Query document to be emailed by WQ Standard Edition report broker to Sales Representatives at End of Month.
Such document may contain multiple reports on tabs with views of business data related to the Sales Rep. Reports on each tab of the workbook need to have frozen headings to enable scrolling by the recipient as well as table areas to facilitate sorting and selection or filtering.
The Excel TABLE function provides this but WQ currently does not support generating an Excel xlsx with the features enabled.
WQ Active reports provide some of this function, but in a compound document setting Active reports do not provide subtotals and totals .
