Assign CERTIFICATE based on Application Group

On a yearly basis we replace multiple CERTIFICATEs across a number of systems. I would like a way to ASSIGN the new CERTIFICATE to either a APPLICATION Group or BASED on previous CERTIFICATE so we do not have to select individual APPLICATION with a check box. We have a number of different CERTIFICATE we apply to DIFFERENT application so I would like to group these APPLICATIONS so I can just ASSIGN the CERTIFICATE and all APPLICATIONS under that Group would be updated.

Use Case:

Use Case:
1) A CERTIFICATE is renewed and is uploaded to server
2) On the night we will replace the CERTIFICATE we would use the ASSIGN to APPLICATION GROUP (this would list all applications for this group)
3) Once the CERTIFICATE is replaced we would recycle the servers listed in the APPLICATION GROUP

IBM does not intend to provide a solution to this specific request for an application group at this time, so it is being closed. However an automation solution is available on IBM i 7.4 that could work even better than the requested grouping function.

Digital Certificate Manager (DCM) APIs added to automate the management of certificates without using the DCM browser-based user interface. An application written using these APIs can renew a certificate residing in the system certificate store, update an application definition to use the renewed certificate, and update the trust list with the CA that issued the renewed certificate.

    See https://www.ibm.com/support/pages/node/1120281 for details.

IBM has received the requirement and is evaluating it. IBM will provide a response after evaluation is complete.
