CHKPPRC enhancements

1) CHKPPRC should have a 3rd completion code: Successful but with errors or warnings.

Currently there are only 2 completion codes, successful or failed. But automation tools may miss errors or warnings.

2) In a symmetrical GMIR environment, where Consistency Groups are specified as Extent Space Efficient Volumes for Preferred Source and Preferred Target, CHKPPRC should check for the existence of a current source side ESE Flash Copy. If the copy exist, post a warning on the completion.


Use Case:

1) For CHKPPRC - Automation Tools may only look for completion messages. Currently there are only 2 completion messages.
IAS0070 40 A PPRC check for the IASP CRG &1 has failed.
IAS0071 20 A PPRC check for IASP CRG &1 completed successfully

Automation software will miss Successfull CHKPPRC but with errors or warnings.

2) The existence of a stranded ESE Flash Copy could cause the Source Flash copy volumes to fill up and go write inhibited, causing an outage on the IBM I. This is an additional safety check to ensure no ESE Flash Copy relationships remain inadvertently.

    Thank you for submitting your request. However, this is not a request for the IBM i or PowerHA products. Rather, CHKPRC is part of an IBM Lab Services tool. Therefore, your request is being Declined. Normally, we would ask that you contact IBM Lab Services to pursue enhancements to their tools, however, in this case, we were informed that they had already handled this particular request.
