My request is that GSS (Generic Security Services) APIs can support CCSID 290 and 5026 in order to enable single sign on in our IBM i environment. IBM i is our life insurance policy administration system and QCCSID cannot be changed to 5035, which is supported by GSS, because changing QCCSID seriously impacts on our application programs.
What I encountered configuring single sign on with CCSID 5026 is below:
Before adding AS/400 service principals to Kerberos server, an error occurred in the last page of EIM wizard. Error occurred in the last page of EIM wizard - configuring EIM (Enterprise ID Mapping) with Navigator for i.
IBM STSS (System Technical Support Service) answered:
- Lowercase characters are necessary for GSS (Generic Security Services) APIs
- GSS APIs are used for Sign On Server (QZSOSIGN) authentication in EIM
- GSS APIs do not support CCSID 290 and 5026, therefore EIM is not supported in current NNLJ environment (QCCSID 65535)
