BRMS recovery reports: support recovery from a H/A system

Let's say you have a system PROD1. Let's say you are using HA replication software like Mimix or Quick-EDD to replicate to PROD2. You back up PROD1 only once a quarter. However you backup PROD2 5 days a week.
In this scenario can you generate a recovery report which will recover PROD1 using tapes from both PROD1 and PROD2?
Some libraries and configuration are not replicated to PROD2. Configuration is one such example. Or maybe PROD2 is undersized so some "expendable" libraries are not replicated.
Advanced BRMS and Networking are both installed.

Use Case:

Using a backup to a HA system in order to reduce outage on primary.
"Save while active" is a sick joke.

The BRMS team believes that the request described has been solved and is available with the Q2 2022 BRMS PTFs (7.3 - SI78289, 7.4 - SI78290, and 7.5 - SI78291). For additional information on this support reference the following BRMS wiki page: https://helpsystemswiki.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/IWT/pages/2199060485/BRMS+recovery+report+support+recovery+H+A+system

This is still on the BRMS team backlog list, the community can continue to vote to influence priority.

We do not use IASP, Flash Copy, etc. All disks are internal and are hosted from a partition of IBM i. We use replication software, Quick-EDD.

The BRMS team needs more information to further assess your Request for Enhancement. BRMS currently has support for this RFE if the backup environment is using IASP data, which addresses some customer environments. The current support is documented on the BRMS wiki at https://helpsystemswiki.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/IWT/pages/165642353/IASP+FlashCopy.

Does the H/A environment associated with this request meet the documented IASP support? If not, if the current IASP support was enhanced to include Full System FlashCopy and SYSBAS data, could that possibly fit this request?

The CAAC has reviewed this requirement and recommends that IBM view this as a high priority requirement that is important to be addressed. For smaller clients who are using replication and BRMS, you may be backing up your target machine every night and not backing up the source machine very often, yet the BRMS recovery report is built on the source side -- it would be great to be able to see and use the information from the target side to recover the source side.

The BRMS team will use this request as input to planning but no commitment is made or implied. The request will be updated in the future if the request is implemented. The BRMS team will use votes and comments from others in the community to help prioritize this request

The CEAC has reviewed this requirement and recommends that IBM view this as a MEDIUM priority requirement that should be addressed. In this RFE SW replication is mentioned but Full System Flash Copy environments have the same issue. If a solution could be found that would be great.

The BRMS team has received the requirement and is evaluating it. The BRMS team will provide a response after evaluation is complete.
