This portal is to open public enhancement requests against IBM Power Systems products, including IBM i. To view all of your ideas submitted to IBM, create and manage groups of Ideas, or create an idea explicitly set to be either visible by all (public) or visible only to you and IBM (private), use the IBM Unified Ideas Portal (https://ideas.ibm.com).
We invite you to shape the future of IBM, including product roadmaps, by submitting ideas that matter to you the most. Here's how it works:
Start by searching and reviewing ideas and requests to enhance a product or service. Take a look at ideas others have posted, and add a comment, vote, or subscribe to updates on them if they matter to you. If you can't find what you are looking for,
Post an idea.
Get feedback from the IBM team and other customers to refine your idea.
Follow the idea through the IBM Ideas process.

RDi 9.1: When a blank line is inserted after a blank line (by pressing Enter), the Tab key is using tab stops at every tenth column (where did these come from?), instead of my free-form tab stops (every 3 columns). Since most of the code I write is free-form, this means extra keystrokes to position the cursor to where the statement should start.
When a blank is inserted after a free-form statement, the cursor is intelligently positioned to the column where the statement should start, and the tab stops to the left (but not the right) are my free-form tab stops. Similarly, when a line is inserted after a fixed-form statement, the statement type (col. 6) is copied and tab stops are the ones for that type.
So my request is that when a blank line is inserted after a blank line, cursor position and tab stops should be based on the nearest preceding non-blank line.
10100 If A < B ;
10200 A += 1 ;
10300 EndIf;
10400
10500 ExSr Foo ;
When a line is inserted after 10400, cursor position and tab stops should be the same as when a line is inserted after 10300.
