Return a boolean in IWS (Integrated WebService Server)

IWS does not support true/false booleans, so it cannot be used to generate JSON streams in RPG like this: {"success": true}
Ideally, we should be able to declare an indicator in the RPG and have it translated to true / false (without quotes).
Currently, if we declare an RPG variable of type IND, IWS will return "0" or "1".
IWS is therefore not really usable to generate JSON which is a real shame

Use Case:

{"success": true}

    The CAAC has reviewed this requirement and recommends that IBM view this as a medium priority requirement that should be addressed. Those who are doing web services using IWS run into this problem frequently. Support of JSON may encourage more use of IWS.

    Background: The COMMON Americas Advisory Council (CAAC) members have a broad range of experience in working with small and medium-sized IBM i customers. CAAC has a key role in working with IBM i development to help assess the value and impact of individual RFEs on the broader IBM i community, and has therefore reviewed your RFE.

    This RFE must be looked into urgently as JSON doc published out of IWS is not quite correct. Expected boolean is actually results in string value.
    In other words, there's no way to tell IWS that a boolean is expected in value as RPG indicators result as "1" or "0" in JSON doc.

IWS should support boolean values in json body

IWS's pcml format currently only supports numbers and strings. It needs to be expanded to support booleans. There's probably a fundamental type mapping problem since RPGLE doesn't natively support booleans (other than indicators). In query strings...

Allow booleans to be returned in an IWS service response

You cannot currently return a true or a false in a json response. If you want a similar thing you would have to return either a 0 or 1 or a string representation "true" or "false". It would be helpful to be able to return a real boolean to make it...
