This RFE has been re-evaluated. Due to the relatively low number of votes, this RFE is now being declined.

We have reviewed this requirement and we feel it would be a beneficial enhancement to the product. We hope to be able to add it to our development plans in the future.

I am aware and I do use the CTRL+M action. Although it displays the block of code within the parentheses it is time consuming when deciphering complex clauses. I believe the color coding of the matching parentheses would increase the programmer's productivity significantly.

It was brought to my attention that the color scheme I used in the example might not work for colorblind people. With that in mind if, the requested enhancement is developed, it will be preferable if the color scheme could be customized in preferences.

Are you aware of the Ctrl+M action? Pressing Ctrl+M when the cursor is on a parenthesis will take you to the matching one. I understand this is not as powerful as what you are asking for, as your requested enhancement would show the matching parentheses at a glance without needing to do anything. However, if you were not aware of this action, does it change the priority of your request, or is it even sufficient enough alone?
