Apache Client Certificate authentication when using proxy

We need to have Client Certificate Authentication (mTLS) on the Apache server in the proxy settings.
According to your support as described in the Support case ID it's not possible.

Use Case:

We need to have Client Certificate Authentication (called mTLS) in order for to make sure only specific clients can access/use WEB services served on the IceBreak server from System & Metode.
IceBreak doesn't support mTLS, so we tried to use mTLS on the Apache server and then proxy to IceBreak.
But this is not supported in Apache for IBM i.
According to our Head Quarter this is possible on Unix using these directives for valid Client Certificates:
SSLCertificateChainFile /Path-to-be-modify-with-your-path/DigiCertGlobalRootCA.cer
SSLCertificateFile /Path-to-be-modify-with-your-path/
SSLCertificateKeyFile /Path-to-be-modify-with-your-path/

The CAAC has reviewed this requirement and recommends that IBM view this as a “nice to have” low priority feature. Making mTLS available on Apache Server would help some client use cases.
