Trying to store in a file and print Subscript on AS400

We are developing a new coal system for an existing client. We need to be to add different chemical make ups to print on certificates they that will supply their customers. For example H20 for water, the 2 is slightly under the rest. I thought there was a subscript 38 or something similar to allow us to save in to a field and print out if necessary.

Use Case:

For example H20 for water, the 2 is slightly under the rest.

.I believe there are some subroutines that can be used to subscript and superscript text.

    1) What programing language are you using to generate the spooled file.
    2) What device type (DEVTYPE) are you specifying on the printer file? (*SCS, *AFPDS, or are you willing to generate any data stream type?
