Enhancing Maximum storage for trace of TRCTCPAPP command

This RFE is now created based on the feedback from case #TS005034124 where we are not able to run the trance commands due to insufficient storage to keep the trace output/logs.

Running the Trace commands trctcpapp *smtpclt *on and trctcpapp *msf *on with the default size (Maximum storage for trace) 16000KB is not enough to store trace data for more than 1 hour ( I already tried for several times). Due to this, Even if we run the trace contentiously, we can't have the exact trace data since it would be overwritten before users report us when any email didn't get delivered. This similar situation happened several times where the trace was in place but the actual data was overwritten already since the maximum storage for trace is every less. So we really don't know how we can capture the trace data exactly when the issue happens which is unpredictable always.

Use Case:

You can refer case# TS005034124 for more details.

IBM agrees with this request and is still using it as input to the planning process. At this time, it is not committed to our plan and the request will be updated in the future if IBM implements it. IBM will use votes and comments from others in the community to help prioritize this Idea.

The CAAC has reviewed this requirement and recommends that IBM view this as a high priority requirement that is important to be addressed. The limit currently sounds way low -- it is time to consider increasing it -- one needs to be able to just let it run since one can't always proactively recreate an error.

Background: The COMMON Americas Advisory Council (CAAC) members have a broad range of experience in working with small and medium-sized IBM i customers. CAAC has a key role in working with IBM i development to help assess the value and impact of individual RFEs on the broader IBM i community, and has therefore reviewed your RFE.

IBM has received the requirement and is evaluating it. IBM will provide a response after evaluation is complete.
