Support both spellings for OPTION and OPTIONS in RPG IV

The H spec or CTL-OPT keyword and RPG Subprocedure Parameter Definitions use different spellings for OPTION/OPTIONS. Please relax the spelling requirements for the OPTION keyword so that both OPTION and OPTIONS are supported in both contexts, and well as anywhere else in RPG IV that I'm forgetting at the moment.


Use Case:

The CTL-OPT specification using one spelling for Options defined on the spec.
The DCL-PARM statements use a different spelling for Options.
One of them using OPTION the other uses OPTIONS and it creates confusion and recompiles and vague/nebulous error messages don't help.

    IBM does not intend to provide a solution to this request at this time, so it is being closed.

    Synonyms for keywords, built-in functions, and operation codes will not be introduced to the RPG language.

    The CEAC has reviewed this requirement and recommends that IBM view this as a “nice to have” LOW priority feature.

    Background: The COMMON Europe Advisory Council (CEAC) members have a broad range of experience in working with small and medium-sized IBM i customers. CEAC has a crucial role in working with IBM i development to help assess the value and impact of individual RFEs on the broader IBM i community and has therefore reviewed your RFE.
