Add window-split preference / toggling

It would be nice if there were an editor Preference by which one could specify a default type of window split (vertical or horizontal) when <Ctrl>-2 is pressed.
Alternatively, a mechanism to automatically split a window as performed by the last manually-entered window split command ("<Shift>-<F10>, V, V" or "<Shift>-<F10>, V, H") would suffice (or maybe even be better).
I almost always use vertically-split windows, and while it's not a major hassle to switch, it would be nice if RDP would save me the second step. (I'm mildly surprised that AFAIK there is no such Preference setting already.)


Use Case:

Press "<Ctrl>-2" to split an editor window. You _always_ get a horizontal split.

    This feature is already available. The preference setting to specify default type of window split can be found under: Window -> Preferences -> LPEX Editor -> Controls -> Split window for multiple views.

    This request should be rescinded/rejected. I found such a preference setting (Window > Preferences > LPEX Editor > Controls > Split window for multiple views). Sorry!
