The BRMS team believes that the request described has been solved and is available with the September 2021 BRMS PTFs (7.3 - SI76737, and 7.4 - SI76738).
The CAAC has reviewed this requirement and recommends that IBM view this as a medium priority requirement that should be addressed. Data should be consistent when doing a FlashCopy.
Background: The COMMON Americas Advisory Council (CAAC) members have a broad range of experience in working with small and medium-sized IBM i customers. CAAC has a key role in working with IBM i development to help assess the value and impact of individual RFEs on the broader IBM i community, and has therefore reviewed your RFE.

The CEAC has reviewed this requirement and recommends that IBM view this as a MEDIUM priority requirement that should be addressed.
CEAC think IBM should review this as part of their ongoing commitment to IBM i running in the cloud. As for how it is implemented, we think this needs to be part of a larger review carried out by IBM.

We have several customers that are using Flashcopy and have expressed their interest on being able to use Cloud Storage Solutions for IBM i at the same time thus uploading the backup images to the Cloud.
Having IP connectivity both to the Source System and to the FSFCMGR system the backup system should be able, not only to transfer the image catalog back to the source LPAR, but also to upload it to the Cloud.
The BRMS team will use this request as input to planning but no commitment is made or implied. The request will be updated in the future if the request is implemented. The BRMS team will use votes and comments from others in the community to help prioritize this request.
