This portal is to open public enhancement requests against IBM Power Systems products, including IBM i. To view all of your ideas submitted to IBM, create and manage groups of Ideas, or create an idea explicitly set to be either visible by all (public) or visible only to you and IBM (private), use the IBM Unified Ideas Portal (https://ideas.ibm.com).
We invite you to shape the future of IBM, including product roadmaps, by submitting ideas that matter to you the most. Here's how it works:
Start by searching and reviewing ideas and requests to enhance a product or service. Take a look at ideas others have posted, and add a comment, vote, or subscribe to updates on them if they matter to you. If you can't find what you are looking for,
Post an idea.
Get feedback from the IBM team and other customers to refine your idea.
Follow the idea through the IBM Ideas process.

PTF R730 SI78221 has now been approved and should be available to you a few days from now.
In response to the question as to whether a PTF could be provided for IBM i 7.3 as well, the answer is yes. Do keep in mind that it will take some time to create and test the PTF. Please monitor APAR number SE76638 to know when the IBM i 7.3 PTF becomes available for it.
Hi,
I have seen that there is already a fix for V7R4. Will there be one for V7R3 as well?

Thank you for submitting this request. It is actually a Defect. Please monitor APAR number SE76638 to know when the PTF becomes available for it.
The CEAC has reviewed this requirement and recommends that IBM view this as a MEDIUM priority requirement that should be addressed.
Background: The COMMON Europe Advisory Council (CEAC) members have a broad range of experience in working with small and medium-sized IBM i customers. CEAC has a crucial role in working with IBM i development to help assess the value and impact of individual RFEs on the broader IBM i community and has therefore reviewed your RFE.
To find out how CEAC help to shape the future of IBM i, see CEAC @ ibm.biz/BdYSYj and the article "The Five Hottest IBM i RFEs Of The Quarter" at ibm.biz/BdYSZT

Hello,
After reading your RFE I think the first part can be achieved with that what is already available today.
The SAVSYSINF command can make use of a *SAVF. That will allow you do move that *SAVF to a library in the *IASP.
In that case you do have what you need at the DR/HA side when you need it. If you reverse the process in the case of a disaster, take the *SAVF from the *IASP and move it to *SYSBAS you can do what you need to do there.
There is only one thing I would like to ask. The SAVSYSINF is saving system information. Did you already try to apply what is being saved on another system? Is that even possible?
Thanks for creating this RFE and I do hope you answer my question, because I like to learn.
Greetings Rudi
