Add SSHFS support to ADDMFS

Adding SSHFS support to ADDMFS command can help mitigate NFS performance issues, avoid using UDP ports, allows to connect using a secure connection on Internet and compress data for better performance.


Use Case:

We could connect to IBM Cloud from our IBM i and save to remote disk using QANESAVA, share data with a PowerVS instance just using SSH port, could allow to share backups with a Linux gateway or NAS to send backups with just one command.

    Can we avoid UDP ports when performing IPL from a remote NFS server?

    Is it possible to mount a remote WEBDAV , FTPS or S3 resource?

    Thank you for submitting this request however, we must decline.
    SSH is open source which due to licensing we cannot integrate in our operating system which is what we would have to do in order to support this.
    One of the concerns is to avoid UDP ports. NFS has an option to use TCP which can be set up by following the instructions on this page:
