We work with pivot tables in Excel with link to source XLSX files, daily refreshed with dtfx files and java-code from Power i.
Filetransfer we did before with RXFERPCB.exe and DTF files and all pivot tables worked fine.
Now we transfer the files with ACS and dtfx files to xls and xlsx files and the pivot tables crashes.
When I open the new transfered XLSX file, save and close, than the external pivot table with link to that xlsx file works fine.
So I think ACS with DTFX creates another XLSX file format than before with Client Access.
Is their a solution??
Solution for file format XLSX with ACS DTFX filetransfer. So that external pivot tables in Excel do not crash.

IBM Support Case TS008201760 was opened for this. The reported scenario that reproduces the crash of the Excel pivot table occurs when the external xlsx file to which it is linked is closed followed by a refresh of the pivot table. Microsoft will need to validate whether or not this scenario is supported, and if so, fix the exception causing Excel to crash. Marking this RFE Declined.
The CEAC has reviewed this requirement and recommends that IBM view this as a MEDIUM priority requirement that should be addressed.
Background: The COMMON Europe Advisory Council (CEAC) members have a broad range of experience in working with small and medium-sized IBM i customers. CEAC has a crucial role in working with IBM i development to help assess the value and impact of individual RFEs on the broader IBM i community and has therefore reviewed your RFE.
