ACS RSS include debug messages in job log

ACS release 1.1.8.7-1100.
For some reason the setting "include debug messages in job log" under the connection menu is not being saved correctly.

I can tick on the setting but it never goes off.

I found the setting and manually changed it in "./IBM/iAccessClient/Settings/client.configuration/com.ibm.iaccess.plugins.db.runsql.x0053ettings/presf.dat".

However, this placement is WRONG. This setting needs to be set at most to a server name and best the script running that needs it on.

My perference for a source to relocate the saving the setting "include-debug-messages" is in the SQL script that needs it. Maybe make a psuedo CL command that lets us specify this.

The next location would be in the JDBC settings.

The next location would be at the connection name.

The place where this should not be set is the global RSS location

Please remove this setting from the prefs.dat its curently in when its relocated.

Use Case:

run query

go to menu Connections
Connection [current connection]
Tick on/off Include Debug Messages in Job Log

run the query again

Look in the job log to see that the messages are included or no longer included.

Exit the RSS session.

Restart an RSS Session.

Check the setting of the Include Debug Messages in Job Log. It should be what you left it when you exited but it's not.

    You did not notice the request that the placement of the debug option is at the wrong level in the ACS RSS plugin. It should not be at the global level and affect ALL servers connected to.

    Thank you for submitting your Request For Enhancement. For clarification, there are two locations where "Include debug messages in job log" can be set for Run SQL Scripts (RSS).
    1. Edit-->Preferences
    2. Connection-->Connected -
    The 1st one is the default preference setting for all connections. The 2nd one allows the default preference setting to be overridden for the existing connection. Upon connection, the 2nd one is set to whatever the 1st one has for a default. You should not have to manually edit prefs.dat. Set your preference at Edit-->Preferences and override it on a specific connection when needed. Marking this RFE Declined.
