The CEAC has reviewed this requirement and recommends that IBM view this as a HIGH priority requirement that is important to address. The option to allow the the user to select either the old or the new Navigator interface from the existing Navigator Login would help to address the issue.

Background: The COMMON Europe Advisory Council (CEAC) members have a broad range of experience in working with small and medium-sized IBM i customers. CEAC has a crucial role in working with IBM i development to help assess the value and impact of individual RFEs on the broader IBM i community and has therefore reviewed your RFE.

To find out how CEAC help to shape the future of IBM i, see CEAC @ ibm.biz/BdYSYj and the article "The Five Hottest IBM i RFEs Of The Quarter" at ibm.biz/BdYSZT

I have many users to support, and while I love the new interface it will take time for notifications/training.
I would prefer the default to stay with "old" but configurable at the system level with option for individual (or group profile or "wild card" users ) default changeable.

The CAAC has reviewed this requirement and recommends that IBM view this as a high priority requirement that is important to be addressed. The new Navigator for i is superior in functionality, ease of use, features, and speed -- to ensure the community gets to it quickly, do make it the default. At least put a link from one to the other that would allow easy switching between the two...

    I agree with SmjBradshaw...

A nice banner with "Try the new Enhanced Navigator for i" on the 2001 login/landing page is needed if it isn't made the default.

An option in ACS to set your personal default to the new version would be nice also.
