IBM Navigator for i - optional second value returned for metrics

Metrics could be enhanced significantly by allowing the use of a second (optional) value returned from the SQL.


Use Case:

The new iNav opens a world of possibilities with customisation of charts, metrics, etc.

One thing that crossed my mind was that a metric could be based on up to two returned values. The first is mandatory and is the actual value which determines plotting of the chart, and the second is optional and is displayed when a user hovers their mouse over a particular point.

So for example a metric that shows the utilization of the most utilized IASP on any given LPAR would return :
1. The IASP utilization figure. This determines the plotting of the chart.
2. The name of the IASP, and this would be displayed when the user hovers over that point/line on the chart.

    The CEAC has reviewed this requirement and recommends that IBM view this as a MEDIUM priority requirement that should be addressed.

    Background: The COMMON Europe Advisory Council (CEAC) members have a broad range of experience in working with small and medium-sized IBM i customers. CEAC has a crucial role in working with IBM i development to help assess the value and impact of individual RFEs on the broader IBM i community and has therefore reviewed your RFE.
