Vietnamese TS1 PDF on IFS using 5770TS1 product

Display Vietnamese Language correctly in PDF when Override PRTF file to PDF Stream File in IFS for subsequent email sending used.

OVRPRTF FILE(xx) DEVTYPE(*AFPDS) WSCST(*PDF) TOSTMF('/xxxxxxxx/xxx.pdf')

CHRID & FNTCHRSET can be used to achieve the Thai Language transform, what would be the setup for Vietnamese language?

Noticed Vietnamese language is part of the supported language under T1001129/T1001130 but how it can incorporate in the transform service?

If this is not support yet, can IBM service include the Vietnamese language too under transform service?

Use Case:

Local language is important for notification/alert/advice that sending to customer for better understanding on the message to be delivered, also it is regulatory requirement in some advice service.

As electronical is the global trend as delivery channels (i.e SMS/eMail) for effectiveness and efficiency, it is very important IBM can support the generation of PDF with Vietnamese language to support the email notification service too.

The CAAC has reviewed this requirement and recommends that IBM view this as a high priority requirement that is important to be addressed. As businesses move into the international market, this becomes more of a "must have" to support enough of the most popular world languages.

Background: The COMMON Americas Advisory Council (CAAC) members have a broad range of experience in working with small and medium-sized IBM i customers. CAAC has a key role in working with IBM i development to help assess the value and impact of individual RFEs on the broader IBM i community, and has therefore reviewed your RFE.

An enhancement to support the correct rendering of all world scripts will be considered for a future enhancement. This solution may, or may not include the specific methods specified in this RFE, as other methods may be easier for all end users to employ.
