This portal is to open public enhancement requests against IBM Power Systems products, including IBM i. To view all of your ideas submitted to IBM, create and manage groups of Ideas, or create an idea explicitly set to be either visible by all (public) or visible only to you and IBM (private), use the IBM Unified Ideas Portal (https://ideas.ibm.com).
We invite you to shape the future of IBM, including product roadmaps, by submitting ideas that matter to you the most. Here's how it works:
Start by searching and reviewing ideas and requests to enhance a product or service. Take a look at ideas others have posted, and add a comment, vote, or subscribe to updates on them if they matter to you. If you can't find what you are looking for,
Post an idea.
Get feedback from the IBM team and other customers to refine your idea.
Follow the idea through the IBM Ideas process.

Thank you for submitting your Request For Enhancement. Usage of TLS 1.3 is dependent on the IBM i release providing support for it and the level of Java being used by IBM i Access Client Solutions (ACS). Configure your IBM i to use TLS 1.3 and use Java11 with ACS. As there is no specific support required from ACS, this RFE is being Declined. If there are issues getting TLS 1.3 to work with ACS, please open a case with our Support team.
IBM understands this request and will consider it for a future code update, though no commitment is made or implied.
The ability for Access Client Solutions (ACS) to support TLS 1.3 depends on TLS 1.3 capability within both IBM i and Java. We will considering adding the support for TLS 1.3, but its availability will depend on the version of Java and the release of IBM i OS.
