We are on OS 7.1 using Rational 9.1.1 - When I convert code to free
form it is still creating the FREE END-FREE statements even though they
are no longer required on OS 7.1 - Can the generation if Free End-Free statements be made optional?

    We are developing on V7R2 and are compiling in V6R1 and /FREE /END-FREE are required. In fact the this request asked for making this behaviour optional but it was not made that way. It would be useful to make this behaviour optional. Is it possible?

    We have reviewed this requirement and we feel it would be a beneficial enhancement to the product. We hope to be able to add it to our development plans in the future.

    Due to processing by IBM, this request was reassigned to have the following updated attributes:
