Provide ability to set source path for reuse on SEP debugging.

When launching RSE Debug VIA SEP from a 5250 session the Object is examined to determine the source path. When this path does not exist a prompt is provided to set the path. On each subsequent debug session he path must be set again.

I would like to be able to set the source path such that it would be retained and I would not have to reset the path on each session. The launch configurations provide this type of function but these are not available from an SEP launch.

It would be very helpful if I could set a global default path (used on any debug session) that would be examined when the path resulting from the object is not found. This would work much like a library list for locating the source. If multiple source is found then prompt for the one to use. This would need to allow for an override should I not want to use the Default.

A possible solution would be to allow the technichian to supply a path on the SEP. A default path would be set per a Preference setting that gets placed in the SEP when it is requested and the technichian could then override at that point.

Use Case:

System: RSE Debug
Actor: Iseries developer

Use cases for the system:

Set RSE SEP
Launch program debug from 5250 session.

Scenario:

1. Set default source path preference.
2. When SEP is requested provide the default source path.
3. Allow technician to override the source path.
4. If multiple source located on path then allow selection.
5. If no source found on path then prompt technician.

Although the theme of this request is consistent with our business strategy, it is not committed to the release that is currently under development.
