Provide schema parameter on RUNSQLSTM

Allow a SCHEMA parameter on RUNSQLSTM so that statements don't need to be qualified, contain a set schema instruction or the current library needs to be changed.

This allows the script to be generic so that it can be run against different environments (ex. Development, Production, …)

As noted earlier in this RFE, the DFTRDBCOL parameter exactly matches this requirement.

The CAAC has reviewed this requirement and recommends that IBM not implement this request. As indicated in previous Comments below, the solution already exists. The parameter default DFTRDBCOL covers this scenario.

Background: The COMMON Americas Advisory Council (CAAC) members have a broad range of experience in working with small and medium-sized IBM i customers. CAAC has a key role in working with IBM i development to help assess the value and impact of individual RFEs on the broader IBM i community, and has therefore reviewed your RFE.

For more information about CAAC, see www.common.org/caac

For more details about CAAC's role with RFEs, see http://www.ibmsystemsmag.com/Blogs/i-Can/May-2017/COMMON-Americas-Advisory-Council-%28CAAC%29-and-RFEs/

Sorry, first day after vacation. Please ignore my last comment, since Niels already gave the correct answer.

Hi Niels, should'nt your request be covered by the DFTRDBCOL parameter?

From the help text of the DFTRDBCOL parameter of command RUNSQLSTM:

Specifies the name of the schema identifier used for the unqualified names of the tables, views, indexes, SQL packages, aliases, constraints, external programs, node groups, and triggers. This parameter applies only to static SQL statements.

    Regards,

    Thomas.

The "default collection" parameter actually supports that. "Collection" was the old name for "Schema"
