Support *PRVPGM for TOPGMQ Parameter of QMHSNDPM API

The lack of the ability to use QMHSNDPM to "know" that a message is being directed to the previous program (like the OPM version) when sending to ILE objects in the call stack is frustrating. Today we have to play with the *CTLBDY and the Relative Invocation parameter to get it "close". Please provide an option on the TOPGMQ parameter that means *PRV *Program or *PRV *SRVPGM without the developing having to extract the call stack. Today it often goes to the PEP or to the main body procedure. This 99.9999% never needed. In the good old days of CPY and OS/400, TOPGMQ(*PRV) worked on SNDPGMMSG and on the QMHSNDPM API. Today the QMHSNDPM is like using a shotgun to do eye surgery. Please make it work so it once again become a useful tool.

Use Case:

Messages generated in user applications never make it to Command Entry or Menus. They are lost somewhere in the call stack. Provided something that does a *PRVPGM and works with both *PGM and *SRVPGM objects the same, would be wonderful.

Thank you for submitting, IBM has reviewed this request and has determined that this is not something we will be doing at this time. Requests are reviewed on a regular basis and may be considered in the future.

The CAAC has reviewed this requirement and recommends that IBM view this as a high priority requirement that is important to be addressed. This is very important because it can make error handling easier to do, especially when using nested function calls, and encourage doing more error handling in development.

Background: The COMMON Americas Advisory Council (CAAC) members have a broad range of experience in working with small and medium-sized IBM i customers. CAAC has a key role in working with IBM i development to help assess the value and impact of individual RFEs on the broader IBM i community, and has therefore reviewed your RFE.
