Search for a string in a spool file

I would like to beable to search for a text string in a spool file.

Use Case:

When I compile a program I have to goto the green screen to check the error in the program listing. Would like to be able to check for error without going to the green screen.

Thank you for taking the time to submit your request. After careful consideration, we know that we cannot deliver your requested enhancement in the near term, so it is being declined. Although the theme of this request is consistent with our business strategy, it is not committed to the release that is currently under development.

A preliminary evaluation of this request indicates that it is consistent with our business strategy. Further evaluation of this RFE is underway.

It seems this is already in RDi if you use the *EVENTF option. We can filter the error level in the window that pops up.

Almost all CRT* commands for programs, service programs, and modules have *EVENTF as a listing option. CRTCMD does not, it appears - not OPTION parameter - so I don't know if it's automatic with commands.
