Have WRKPRB generate Cases, not PMR's

WRKPRB is generating PMR's. IBM has switched over to Cases instead of PMR's.

2. Report problem

Problem reporting complete. Service number is 78100,082,000.
This should show the Case number instead.

    Hello IBM_Systems_Developer,

    Can you please give some more details about where to find the case number in the WRKPRB display.

    I think it is vital to have the case number available on a system level in order to be able to use Must Gather Tool when material needs to be uploaded. Or can the PMR be still used?

    IBM believes that the request described has been solved and is available. Any PMRs generated by WRKPRB are automatically copied to Cases. Service personnel can locate the case using the PMR number displayed by WRKPRB. Work is ongoing to open Cases directly instead first opening a PMR. This work is being done based on geography over the next year. When a geography has made the transition, then WRKPRB will show a Case number instead of a PMR number.

    The COMMON Europe Advisory Council (CEAC) has reviewed this requirement and recommends that IBM view this as a MEDIUM priority requirement that should be addressed.

    Background: The CEAC members have a broad range of experience in working with small and medium-sized IBM i customers. CEAC has a crucial role in working with IBM i development to help assess the value and impact of individual RFEs on the broader IBM i community and has therefore reviewed your RFE.
