OID to obtain the iSeries System Model

Hello.
The bank's auditing system is asking us for the OID of the Iseries Machine Model. We looked for it in the file member IBMCLTM of the file QANMMIB but just the description is shown, the OID is not shown. Then we looked at the OID IBM page and we found the OID: 1.3.6.1.4.1.2.6.50.1.1.1.19
We tried that in the auditing system but id did not bring anything.
We would like to know what OID we should try on to get the IBM Iseries Machine Model.
Our sistem is a Power 8 9117-MMB.

Hello,

I have reviewed the documentation and discussed with a Subject Matter Expert. The OID you are trying to get information for is using is the IBM Client Management MIB which is obsolete and is not going to work. Here is the information rom our document about SNMP Overview:

This information is available in the host resources MIB. The system type and model are encoded as ASCII character values in the 1st hrDeviceID entry in the hrDeviceTable. The OID for the hrDeviceID is 1.3.6.1.2.1.25.3.2.1.4. with the 1st table entry having the OID 1.3.6.1.2.1.25.3.2.1.4.1. The value returned for this OID will also be an OID like this: 1.3.6.1.4.1.2.9.1.57.49.49.57.77.77.69.67.69.67.48.49.32.32.32.32.32
The values following the 1.3.6.1.4.1.2.9.1 in the result are the ASCII encoded system type, model, and resource. 57.49.49.57 = 9119 and the 77.77.69 = MME.
Please let us know if this works for you.
