Enlarge Subject and Note fields in SNDSMTPEMM for version 7.3

In version 7.4 of the operating system, the command SNDSMTPEMM had the SUBJECT parameter increased to 255 characters and the NOTE parameter increased to 5000 characters. Please release a PTF to update the command for the 7.3 version.

This is similar to previous delivered requests 101446 (13 votes) and 109216 (19 votes)

Use Case:

Longer, highly formatted emails, especially those using HTML, are becoming more expected by customers. We would like to be able to use the subject to convey order information and the body of an email to be long enough to contain a informational paragraph, company contact information, and a confidentiality notice.

The CAAC has reviewed this requirement and recommends that IBM view this as a high priority requirement that is important to be addressed. Clients will be on IBM i 7.3 for a while yet, and it is becoming increasingly necessary to put more information into e-mail subject lines.

Background: The COMMON Americas Advisory Council (CAAC) members have a broad range of experience in working with small and medium-sized IBM i customers. CAAC has a key role in working with IBM i development to help assess the value and impact of individual RFEs on the broader IBM i community, and has therefore reviewed your RFE.
