PTF tool to identify missing co, prereq, and delayed ptf

Create application and supporting API to allow a user to query and compare PTF co/prereq and other information to what is installed on an LPAR versus what is available on fix central.

Use Case:

Use case would be to simplify PTF research. When there is a PTF that might fix an issue, Users need to know what co/prereq are required and whether any of these require IPL. Currently, the only solution is to investigate this manually. The ideal solution would be an application that would let me specify a PTF, then query and compare my installed PTFs to what the specified PTF requires from fix central, and then provide a listing of exactly what's missing and whether these require special handling or IPL.

IBM does not intend to provide an IBM i Services solution to this request at this time, so it is being closed.

The Display PTF Apply Information (DSPPTFAPYI) command, available since 7.2, has *OUTFILE support. It returns information about whether PTFs have requisites and whether an IPL is required to install a PTF. A query can be written against this outfile to collect the information requested by this RFE.

Since this process is not needed frequently, investing in an IBM i Service to access the same information as the CL command is not considered worth the investment.

Due to processing by IBM, this request was reassigned to have the following updated attributes:
Brand - Servers and Systems Software
    Product family - Power Systems
    Product - IBM i
    Component - Db2 for i
    Operating system - IBM i
    Source - None

For recording keeping, the previous attributes were:
Brand - Servers and Systems Software
    Product family - Power Systems
    Product - IBM i
    Component - PTF, Service
    Operating system - IBM i
    Source - None

This would seem an ideal candidate for an IBM i Service, I believe that IBM is more than half way there with the PTF service they have, perhaps Scott could create an example for this that could be included in ACS.
