Don't incl Hidden fields on DS defined based on external name

When a data structure is defined based on a table with hidden fields the compiler shouldn't include hidden fields in the structure. Now option available to exclude these on the definition


Use Case:

When defining a data structure based on an table who has hidden fields defined, these hidden fields are included in the structure. When a select * from table into this defined DS the hidden fields are not included resulting in a SQL error -420.
Work around is creating a view not including the hidden fields. or change the SQL select to include the hidden fields. Both solutions provide confusion with developers. A new option on the EXTNAME could handle this. Ex. *EXCHDNFLD 'exclude hidden fields'

    The CAAC has reviewed this requirement and recommends that IBM view this as a “nice to have” low priority feature. Note, though, that it is strongly recommended to NOT use SELECT * FROM TABLE, but when you don't do that, you cannot use EXTNAME or LIKEREC to create a data structure.

    Background: The COMMON Americas Advisory Council (CAAC) members have a broad range of experience in working with small and medium-sized IBM i customers. CAAC has a key role in working with IBM i development to help assess the value and impact of individual RFEs on the broader IBM i community, and has therefore reviewed your RFE.

    The CEAC has reviewed this requirement and recommends that IBM view this as a MEDIUM priority requirement that should be addressed.
